Reading a combined configuration

A combined structure is described by its links, not only by its modules. Two towers joined by a suspended bridge behave differently from the same towers standing apart: the route becomes continuous, children queue less and the safety zones merge into one surfaced area. That merged zone is what drives cost, so the configuration and the surfacing budget have to be studied together. The layout plan issued with the quotation shows both.

Materials, standards and inspection

Armoured rope over a steel core is used for the climbing sections, which keeps tension stable under free public access. The configurations answer EN 1176 for playground equipment, and the impact attenuating surface is sized to EN 1177 from the free height of fall of the highest accessible point. Periodic inspection of ropes, connectors and anchorages is planned from handover.
