Planning a recovery area

Wellness equipment brings building constraints that fitness equipment does not: water supply and drainage, electrical load, ventilation and humidity management. These have to be settled before the equipment is chosen, not after.

Water based equipment carries an operating routine that has to be planned with the purchase: filtration, water treatment, cleaning schedule and record keeping. What building work is involved?

It depends entirely on the equipment. A portable bath needs a level floor, a filling point and access to a drain. A fixed bath, a sauna or a spa needs plumbed services, a dedicated electrical supply, ventilation and, for spas, verification of floor loading. Is wellness equipment covered by warranty?

Warranty runs from 2 to 5 years depending on the range, with extensions available on steel structures. Water based equipment also depends on the operator following the maintenance and water treatment routine, which is set out in the documentation supplied with each unit.
