Swing sets remain the most used item on most playgrounds, and this range is built around who is doing the swinging. Fifteen models cover a face to face parent and child basket named Portia, inclusive woven net seats such as Bianka and Kordelia for children who cannot sit unaided, the large Puk nest swing for several users at once, and modular frames that let several seats share one beam.

Seat types and inclusive use

Seat choice does more for accessibility than any other decision on a playground. A flat seat serves confident users; a net or basket seat supports the trunk and opens the equipment to children with reduced postural control; a face to face basket lets an adult swing with a toddler, which changes how a site is used by families with very young children. Modular frames allow these seat types to be mixed on one structure so a single installation covers the whole visitor profile.

Safety zones and surfacing

EN 1176 sets specific safety zones for swings, measured along the swinging axis, and these are larger than for static equipment. Impact attenuating surfacing to EN 1177 has to cover that whole area. Both figures appear on the layout plan issued with the quotation, together with the foundation details, and installation is carried out in France.
