Description
This modular swing range lets a play area be built up from separate swing modules instead of a single fixed frame, so the number of bays and the mix of seats follow the site rather than the catalogue. Every module uses the same 76.1 mm grade 0H18N9 stainless steel tube, which means bays can be added later without a visible change of material.
How the modular system works
Each module is a self-supporting unit with its own foundations. Placing two or three side by side produces a continuous run; splitting them across a site gives separate swing points for different age groups. Because the connectors, chains and suspensions are common to every module, a single spares holding covers the whole installation, which is the practical argument for a local authority running several play areas.
- Structure in grade 0H18N9 stainless steel tube, 76.1 mm diameter
- Stainless steel connectors, chains and suspensions with maintenance-free bearings
- Plastic protective end caps
- Modules combined freely according to the requirements of the project

Specifying a configuration
The starting point is the usable area of the site and the age profile of the users. From there we set the number of bays, the seat types and the spacing, then issue an implantation drawing showing the resulting safety areas. The impact attenuating surface has to be laid to EN 1176-1 over the whole of that area, and it is normally the largest single cost item in a swing project, so fixing the configuration early is worth the effort.
Maintenance
Stainless steel removes the repainting cycle that galvanised and coated frames eventually need, and the suspension bearings are maintenance-free. The operator still carries out the routine, operational and annual inspections required by EN 1176, with chain wear and seat condition as the main items.
Frequently asked questions
Can modules be added after the first installation?
Yes. Each module is independent, so a later phase means new foundations alongside the existing ones and a revised safety area drawing. Nothing on the installed modules has to be dismantled.
Which seats can be fitted?
Flat seats, cradle seats and inclusive seats can be mixed across the bays. We confirm the combination against the age range you are designing for before quoting.
How is the safety area calculated for several bays?
It is derived from the swing geometry and the free height of fall, and adjacent bays cannot simply share the same ground. The implantation drawing we issue with the quotation shows the surfaced area required.
Send us the dimensions of the area and the age groups you serve, and we will propose a configuration. Request a quotation or see the complete playground swing sets range.
