Wall mounted CrossFit rigs and stations

Wall mounted CrossFit rigs and stations : notre sélection professionnelle

A wall mounted rig fixes directly to a structural wall, so the whole training station occupies almost no floor area while gaining rigidity from the building itself. That combination is what makes it the default structure for compact boxes, studios, coaching areas, hotel and corporate gyms, and emergency services training rooms where a freestanding rig would swallow the room.

Specifying the structure

Uprights are in reinforced steel with an anticorrosion epoxy coating and accept the usual station kit: pull-up bars at more than one height, J-cups for squat and press work, safety spotter arms, dip stations, monkey bars over longer spans, disc and barbell storage, and anchor points for bands and ropes. Multi-height pull-up bars matter more than they look on a drawing, because a single bar height excludes part of a mixed membership.

Three checks decide feasibility: the nature and load capacity of the supporting wall, the ceiling height available for pull-ups and muscle-up progressions, and the clear zone in front of the rig for barbell entry and exit. Structures are supplied to the EN ISO 20957 family of requirements for professional training equipment.

Can heavy squats and bench work be done on a wall rig?

Yes, provided the rig is correctly sized, fixed to a compatible structural wall and fitted with J-cups and safety spotters. Where the walls cannot be used or the layout has to move, choose a freestanding CrossFit rig instead.

What flooring should go under the rig?

Rubber tiles across the station, with thicker impact tiles under the drop and deadlift zone. See rubber gym flooring tiles and the wider CrossFit rigs range.
