Bodytone professional upright and recumbent bikes

Bodytone builds three families of professional exercise bike: upright, recumbent and self-generating models, all with the same reinforced steel frame and anticorrosion epoxy finish. They are specified for clubs, hotels, corporate suites, sports complexes and rehabilitation centres, where a bike has to run several hours a day, stay quiet in a shared room and hold its adjustment through constant user changes.

Upright or recumbent?

Upright bikes reproduce a conventional riding position and suit interval and endurance programming. Recumbent bikes place the user in a seated position with full back support, which removes load from the lumbar spine and makes step-through access straightforward. That is why recumbent models dominate in rehabilitation centres, senior programmes and medical facilities, while upright models are the default on a general club floor. Self-generating versions produce their own power from the pedalling action and need no mains socket, which frees up cardio floor layouts.
