These stations allow training from a wheelchair or seated, with controls placed within reach and clear transfer space alongside. The objective is not performance but maintaining range of movement, joint mobility and autonomy, which changes the specification: resistance stays light and progressive, movements are guided, and the exercise can be stopped at any point without the user being trapped by a load.
The site matters as much as the machine
An accessible station is only accessible if the route to it is. Firm level surfacing, a continuous path from the car park or the building entrance, and enough space to turn a wheelchair beside each unit are what decide whether the installation is used.
