What fails, and why it matters commercially

A consumer aqua bike installed in a public aquatic centre does not last a full year, and a poorly sourced water trampoline corrodes within the first season. The cost is not only the replacement: a cancelled aquafitness class means a queue of members at reception, and class attendance takes months to rebuild. Specifying equipment rated for continuous immersion in treated water is the only way to avoid that cycle.

Specification points for immersed equipment

Look at the material of every wetted part, including fasteners, which are usually the first components to fail. Stainless steel in 316L grade is the reference for chlorinated and salt water environments. Check that the equipment can be moved in and out of the pool by one member of staff, since anything heavier does not get used. Delivery covers France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg.
