Description
Rope play configuration no. 42 is a four-component vertical circuit: a rope play tower, a transition walkway, a rope climbing pyramid and an additional wide slide, across 15.8 x 11.8 m. It is one of the few layouts in the series supplied powder-coated to a chosen colour rather than in plain galvanised finish.
Specified in colour
The structure is hot-dip galvanised and then powder-coated in the colours selected for the project. That is worth knowing at design stage: where a park has a palette, where a housing development wants the play area to sit with the architecture, or where a bare galvanised finish has already been rejected in consultation, this configuration meets the requirement without a bespoke order.
- Rope play tower
- Transition walkway between tower and pyramid
- Rope climbing pyramid
- Additional wide slide
Tower and pyramid together
The tower is rigid, the pyramid moves. Linking them with a walkway gives a circuit that alternates between stable and unstable surfaces, which is more demanding than either on its own and is the reason children keep going round rather than using each element once. The wide slide takes several users at a time and is the natural exit from the circuit.
Materials and installation
Hot-dip galvanised steel with a powder-coat finish in the selected colours. Foundations at 1.0 m depth. Heavy plant access is required for installation.
Surfacing
The free height of fall is 2.9 m, so the impact area requires an impact-attenuating surface certified to EN 1177 for a critical fall height of at least 2.9 m across the 19.5 x 15.9 m safety area. The equipment itself is certified to PN EN 1176-1:2017-12 by an independent certification body; the surfacing is a separate specification under EN 1177.

Frequently asked questions
When do we have to confirm the colours?
Before manufacture. Powder coating is applied in the factory over the galvanising and cannot be changed on site, so the colour decision has to be made at order stage rather than at delivery.
Does a coloured finish need more maintenance?
No. The galvanising underneath provides the corrosion protection, so a chip in the powder coat is a cosmetic issue rather than a structural one. Touch-up is optional.
Is 4.7 m low enough for a residential setting?
It is one of the lower profiles among the multi-component configurations, which combined with a colour finish makes it a common choice for housing schemes and mixed-use developments.
Send us the plot dimensions, your colour requirements and your surfacing intentions, and we will return a costed proposal with a scaled siting drawing within 24 business hours.
