What makes a station usable from a wheelchair
Three things, and none of them is the machine alone. The handles have to be reachable at seated height; the approach has to be free of a base plate or step that would block the footrests; and the surrounding surface has to allow a wheelchair to arrive, turn and leave. Equipment that meets the first two points still fails in service if the third is ignored, which is why the layout plan issued with the quotation includes the approach routes and the manoeuvring areas, not just the station positions.
