Description
The TRAINER accessible multifunction station brings three exercise positions together on one 2,080 by 1,409 mm frame designed for use by people with reduced mobility. It works the arms, legs and back, and it develops upper body motor control and coordination, which means a single structure delivers a complete accessible training offer rather than one token movement.
Bringing three stations onto one frame matters more in an inclusive installation than elsewhere. Accessible equipment is often specified as a single unit placed apart from everything else, which produces a station nobody uses. A three position structure gives a genuine session, and because the approach is designed for wheelchair access, it can be placed within the main fitness area rather than beside it.
The structure is high quality steel, shot blasted, galvanised and finished with a double coat of polyester paint for durable resistance to weather and UV. Standard colourways are yellow (RAL 1018 and 7004), graphite (RAL 7016 and 9006), orange (RAL 2000 and 9006) and lime (RAL 6018 and 9006), with other colours available on quotation. The difficulty is rated easy, the maximum user weight is 150 kg and the recommended user height is below 140 cm, which reflects the seated approach the station is designed around. It is certified to EN 16630:2015-06 by TUV Rheinland.

Designing an inclusive outdoor fitness area
The equipment is only half of an accessible installation. The safety zone of 508 by 447 cm has to be clear, and the approach to it has to be a firm, level, bound surface wide enough for a wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn, connected to the site path network rather than reached across grass or gravel. Those requirements are settled in the groundworks, which is why the base and surfacing design should be resolved before the equipment is ordered. Position the station within the main fitness area, not in a separate accessible enclave: the whole argument for inclusive equipment is that it is used alongside everything else. Anchoring is into a prepared concrete foundation sized from the equipment drawing. Send us the site plan and we will return a free implantation study covering access routes, safety zones, surfacing and base design.
Frequently asked questions
How much space does the station require?
The frame is 2,080 by 1,409 mm, but the figure that governs the layout is the safety zone of 508 by 447 cm, which must be clear of obstacles and connected to an accessible approach route.
Is the equipment certified for public installation?
Yes. It complies with EN 16630:2015-06 for permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment and is tested and certified by TUV Rheinland, which public procurement normally requires.
Can the colour be matched to a scheme?
Four standard colourways are available and other shades can be quoted, which is useful where a park or a residential development has an existing palette.
