Description
The TRAINER wheelchair-accessible arm trainer brings genuinely inclusive exercise to public fitness areas: the station is designed for complete use in a seated position, directly from a wheelchair and without any transfer. It measures 94 x 48 x 192 cm and is certified to EN 16630:2015-06 by TUV Rheinland.
Training function and muscles worked
The arm-cranking movement strengthens the arms, shoulders and back while raising cardio-respiratory capacity, the same physiological benefits an exercise bike offers ambulant users. The difficulty level is easy and the movement is intuitive, so users of all fitness levels can train autonomously, up to a maximum user weight of 150 kg.
Designing accessible fitness trails
Municipalities increasingly specify at least one wheelchair-accessible station per outdoor fitness area. Positioned on an accessible surface with a clear approach, this arm trainer lets wheelchair users train alongside other visitors rather than at a separate facility, a simple and visible commitment to inclusive public space.

Frequently asked questions
Can the station really be used without leaving the wheelchair?
Yes. The working height and open approach are designed so the user positions the wheelchair at the station and trains the upper body directly, with no transfer and no assistance required.
What should be planned around the station?
An accessible, firm surface up to the station and a clear safety zone of approximately 394 x 348 cm. Our layout study covers approach paths and surfacing so the station is compliant and genuinely usable.
Which muscles does it train?
The arms, shoulders and back, with a meaningful cardio-respiratory effect when used in sustained intervals. It pairs well with other accessible and easy-level TRAINER stations on an inclusive circuit.
