Description
The TRAINER Papillon D06R+SI is an outdoor pec fly station with a folding seat, so a wheelchair user can roll into the frame and train the same movement as a standing user. It measures 928 x 1,049 x 2,020 mm, weighs 80 kg, accepts users up to 150 kg and is certified to EN 16630:2015 by TUV Rheinland. Professional price: 2,406 EUR excluding VAT.
Inclusive design: one station, two access modes
The seat folds up against the frame and locks clear of the training position. With the seat down, the station is used like any other outdoor pec fly. With the seat folded, a wheelchair rolls straight into the same grip position, so an ambulant user and a wheelchair user work side by side on the same equipment rather than on a separate segregated unit. That distinction matters when a scheme has to demonstrate genuine inclusion rather than parallel provision.
Access to the station still depends on the site: the approach must be firm, level and continuous from the nearest accessible path, and the safety area surfacing has to allow wheel travel.
Movement and muscles worked
The user closes the two arms in front of the chest against body-weight resistance. The exercise loads the pectoralis major and the anterior deltoid, and works the scapular girdle and the muscles of the upper back and posterior chest wall as stabilisers. Difficulty is rated medium. There is no weight stack and no pin, so load is regulated by range of movement and tempo alone.

Where it is specified
Urban parks, inclusive municipal fitness areas and health trails where an accessibility commitment has to be evidenced. EN 16630:2015-06 is the European standard for permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment and is the reference normally cited in public tenders for this category.
It sits in the wheelchair-accessible TRAINER station range, which shares anchoring details and colour schemes so a mixed circuit reads as one installation.
Frequently asked questions
Does a wheelchair user need help to use the station?
No assistance is needed to fold the seat: it is a manual mechanism operated from the seated position and it locks out of the way. Independent use still assumes an accessible approach and a firm surfacing within the safety area.
Can the station be ordered in our scheme colours?
Four RAL schemes are standard: yellow, graphite, orange and lime. Any other RAL reference is quoted on request, which is the usual route when equipment has to match existing park furniture.
What is the difference with the Steel4Fit version?
The D06R+SZ Steel4Fit build uses seamless S355 curved sections, hot-dip galvanising and a double powder coat for very high-traffic or coastal sites. The D06R+SI is the inclusive version, with the folding seat, in the standard galvanised and polyester-painted finish.
Light In Fitness designs and supplies inclusive outdoor fitness areas for local authorities, care facilities and property developers. Send your site plan and access constraints and we will return a quotation covering equipment, surfacing and installation.
