Description
The Bodytone FH20 is a selectorised shoulder press that loads the deltoids, the rhomboids and the upper pectorals through a seated vertical pressing movement. The seated position with a back pad removes the lumbar compensation that a standing overhead press invites, which makes the station usable by a mixed membership rather than only by trained lifters. It is the natural companion to a chest press in an upper body circuit and is specified for commercial clubs, hotel fitness rooms, corporate gyms and sports academies.

Footprint, intensity and upkeep
With 154 x 149 cm at the base the FH20 is one of the wider stations in the Forza FH range, and the reason is the press arm geometry: the handles have to clear the shoulders on both sides. That makes it a poor candidate for a narrow corridor position and a good one for the open side of a strength zone, where the user can be approached from either side by a coach.
Net weight is 260 kg, so the same two checks apply as for the rest of the range: permissible floor loading for any installation above ground level, and a surveyed delivery route. Overall height is 162 cm, which keeps the machine below eye level and preserves sightlines across the room, a practical point for a single member of staff supervising a large floor.
Preventive maintenance covers the cable and pulleys, the pivot bushings at the press arm, the back pad and seat height locks, and the selector pin. Clean the upholstery with a neutral cleaner. Overhead pressing stations tend to accumulate chalk and sweat on the handles, so include those in the daily cleaning round.
Load configuration
The 107 kg standard stack covers the overwhelming majority of shoulder pressing needs, since users reach failure at a lower absolute load overhead than they do on a horizontal press. The 134 kg option exists for sites with a strength focused population; if budget is tight, this is one of the machines where the standard stack is easiest to justify.
Frequently asked questions
Which muscles does the FH20 train?
Principally the deltoids, with the rhomboids and the upper pectorals contributing to the pressing pattern. It is the guided equivalent of an overhead press and complements a chest press rather than duplicating it.
Is a guided shoulder press safer than free weights overhead?
For an unsupervised or mixed level population, yes, in practical terms. The bar path is fixed and the back pad limits the arching that a standing barbell press provokes, so the machine can be left available to members who have not been coached through a free weight overhead press.
Can the machine be delivered and installed by Light In Fitness?
Yes. Allow three to six weeks in mainland France between order and commissioning, four to six weeks in Belgium and five to seven weeks in Switzerland, covering delivery, on site assembly and initial adjustment.
