Description
The Bodytone FH30 is a selectorised biceps curl machine with an inclined arm pad that fixes the upper arm and removes shoulder and torso compensation. Bracing the arms is what gives the movement its control: the elbow becomes the only working joint, so the load cannot be transferred to the front deltoid or produced by rocking the trunk. On a 123 x 124 cm base and at 221 kg it is among the most compact and lightest selectorised stations in the Forza FH range, which suits hotel gyms, corporate fitness rooms, physiotherapy practices and clubs adding an arm zone.

Where the machine earns its floor space
An arm curl station is often the first item cut from an equipment list, and the FH30 answers that objection on dimensions: an almost square 123 x 124 cm base fits into positions that a press or a leg station cannot use, such as the end of a row of machines or a shallow alcove. The working envelope stays inside the frame, since the forearms move only through the elbow, so the station tolerates a tighter placement than a pec fly or a lateral raise.
Net weight is 221 kg, the lightest of the selectorised machines in this batch alongside the FH24, which makes it the easier specification for a first floor or mezzanine installation once the floor loading has been verified. Height is 162 cm and does not obstruct sightlines.
Maintenance is limited to the cable and pulleys, the arm pivot, the seat height lock and the selector pin. The arm pad takes direct forearm contact at every repetition, so include it in the daily cleaning round with a neutral cleaner rather than a solvent, which shortens the life of the covering.
Load range
The stack is 91 kg in 7 kg steps and there is no extension option for this reference. That is appropriate for an elbow flexion isolation movement performed with the arms braced, where a controlled repetition is limited well before the top of the stack even for experienced lifters.
Frequently asked questions
What does the arm pad change compared with a barbell curl?
It prevents the user from swinging the trunk or pulling with the shoulder. The elbow stays aligned with the machine axis for the whole set, which makes the movement usable in rehabilitation and in unsupervised rooms where technique cannot be corrected on the spot.
Is 91 kg enough for a strength focused club?
For a braced curl, yes in almost all cases. The arms cannot recruit the back or the legs, so the achievable load is far lower than on a free standing curl, and a 91 kg stack in 7 kg increments covers the full range from beginner to advanced.
Can it be installed in a small hotel fitness room?
It is one of the range’s better candidates for that. The 123 x 124 cm footprint, the 221 kg net weight and the 162 cm height are all at the low end of the Forza FH range, and the movement needs no clearance beyond the frame itself.
