Why a decline press earns its place

Most gym floors have a flat bench and an incline bench, and stop there. The decline press covers the movement neither of them reaches: with the torso below horizontal, the pressing line runs across the lower fibres of the pectoralis major, which are under trained in almost every self directed programme.

The decline position also shortens the range at the shoulder, so members who find flat pressing uncomfortable at the front of the shoulder can often press decline without pain. That makes the station useful to a wider part of your membership than its reputation suggests.

Programmes should be rotated periodically to avoid stagnation.

No. The 1,450 EUR excluding VAT covers the station. Olympic bars, discs, collars and storage are quoted separately so the tonnage can be matched to your membership, and we can price them on the same quotation.

How much space does it need?

Beyond the frame itself, allow clear space at both ends of the bar for loading and unloading discs, and a spotting position behind the head of the bench. Send us your floor plan and we will position it with realistic clearances rather than nominal ones.

Flat, incline or decline, which should be bought first?

Flat first, then incline, then decline. The FC06 is the third bench in a complete pressing area, and the one that separates a gym with a real free weight offer from one with the minimum.
