Two back exercises, one machine, one footprint

The FD04 is a dual station: the high pulley isolates the latissimus dorsi with a seated bar pulldown, the mid pulley runs a seated row with a grip attachment. In a room where floor area is the binding constraint, that removes an entire machine from the layout while still covering both the vertical and the horizontal pulling pattern, which is what a balanced back programme needs.

Setup is deliberately simple: adjust the leg rollers, select the load on the magnetic pin, take the handle and pull. Colour-coded plates by intensity level make the load obvious to new members, which reduces the number of questions staff have to field on the floor.

Which stack should I order?

80 kg is standard and covers most club populations for pulldown work. Specify 90 kg or 100 kg where the site serves strength athletes or a predominantly male membership that will top out an 80 kg stack on rows.

Can both stations be used at the same time?

No. The FD04 runs one weight tower serving the high and mid pulleys, so it is a single-user machine. That is the trade-off for the reduced footprint.

What maintenance does it need?

Periodic lubrication of the bearings and calibrated steel guides, a cable inspection, and replacement of the 5 mm PVC-coated cable on the normal wear schedule. The ABS shrouds unclip for access.
