Description
The Shoulder Press OG is an outdoor strength machine for the shoulders, with padded ergonomic handles and height adjustment to suit each user. It is built on an S235 steel structure with a durable powder coating, Elastodur plastic components and galvanised fixings.
Height adjustment is the feature that matters most on a shoulder press. Overhead pressing geometry depends heavily on the user’s height and arm length, and a fixed machine either strains the shorter user or shortens the range for the taller one. An adjustable seating height keeps the pressing path correct across a public with no common build.
The padded handles address the other objection to outdoor pressing, namely comfort on a bare metal grip in cold or hot weather. Combined with the guided path and adjustable resistance, they make the machine usable in the conditions an open air area actually faces, not only on a mild afternoon.

Building a balanced outdoor strength area
Shoulder pressing pairs naturally with a rowing station: one pushes overhead, the other pulls horizontally, and together they load the shoulder girdle from both directions. Specifying only pressing machines is the most common imbalance in outdoor strength areas, and it is the one users feel within a few weeks.
The machine occupies 1.39 by 1.09 metres and stands 1.20 metres high, with safety clearance to be added around the moving parts. Foundations, anchoring and impact attenuating surfacing are established during the layout study and issued with the quotation. Light In Fitness manufactures the range and installs across France, with Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg covered as standard and export costed per project.
Frequently asked questions
Who can use the machine?
Anyone able to press overhead. The guided path and adjustable height make it appropriate for a general public, including users returning to training, though those with a shoulder condition should take their own advice.
Why galvanised fixings rather than standard bolts?
Corrosion on outdoor equipment usually starts at the fasteners, where the coating is thinnest and water collects. Galvanising the fixings addresses the failure point that shortens the life of otherwise sound machines.
Is the machine suitable for coastal sites?
The powder coated steel and galvanised fixings are specified for outdoor exposure. For sites directly exposed to salt air, our stainless steel outdoor range is the more appropriate specification and we will say so at quotation stage.
