Description
The TITAN shoulder press is a plate-loaded olympic machine built for continuous commercial use, with independent arms whose counterweights bring the starting resistance down to 500 g. The frame weighs 140 kg unloaded and carries a 20-year structural warranty. Professional price: 2,650 EUR excluding VAT.
Independent arms and a 500 g starting load
Each arm carries its own counterweight, so the movement begins at 500 g rather than at the dead weight of the lever. That matters in two situations: rehabilitation and deconditioned users, who need a load that starts near zero, and advanced users running eccentric or contrast protocols, where the arm has to return without dragging.
- Iso-lateral arms: train one side at a time, alternate, or press both together
- Opposed concentric and eccentric work possible on a single set
- Counterbalanced levers, 500 g resistance at the start of the range
- Guided frontal-plane path that keeps the shoulder joint free of shear and impact
- Olympic 50 mm loading pins, with storage horns on the frame
Muscles worked and programming
The movement reproduces frontal-plane pressing and loads the anterior and lateral deltoids, with the triceps and upper trapezius assisting. Because each arm is independent, a strength imbalance between sides shows up immediately instead of being masked by the dominant side, which makes the machine useful for return-to-training protocols as well as hypertrophy blocks.
Frame and finish
Heavy-gauge steel tube, welded and powder coated, with a 20-year warranty on the structure. Upholstery is professional-grade synthetic leather over moulded high-density foam. The machine is manufactured by Light In Fitness, so replacement pads, bushings and handles remain available throughout the service life of the unit.

Frequently asked questions
What floor area and ceiling height does it need?
The machine occupies 1290 x 1260 mm and stands 1485 mm high, so ceiling height is never the constraint. Allow a circulation margin of 600 to 800 mm behind the seat for loading and unloading plates. On upper floors, check the slab loading: 140 kg of frame plus up to eight olympic plates concentrated on four feet.
Why choose plate loading over a weight stack for shoulder press?
Plate loading gives a resistance curve that follows the lever arm rather than a cam, and it removes the cable and stack as maintenance items. For a strength-oriented floor it also lets two users share the machine while working at very different loads without waiting for a pin change.
Are other machines available in the same range?
Yes. The TITAN range also covers chest press, incline chest press and calf. All units share the same frame section and finish, so a full plate-loaded zone can be specified as a single visual set. See the full TITAN converging machines range.
The TITAN shoulder press is quoted at 2,650 EUR excluding VAT, before delivery and installation. Tell us the size of your floor and the machines you already run, and we will return a layout and a consolidated quotation within 24 to 72 hours.
