Description
The SRX20 shoulder press from the Solid Rock range is a converging iso-lateral plate-loaded press: 250 kg total capacity, 125 kg per arm, 160 kg net weight and a 141 x 146.5 x 123 cm footprint. Professional price: 1,957 EUR excluding VAT.
Converging path plus independent arms
Two design decisions define this machine. The arms are independent, so a stronger side cannot compensate for a weaker one, and the path converges as it rises, following the natural arc of the humerus rather than a fixed vertical track. Together they produce a press that loads the deltoid heavily without the end-range shoulder position that causes discomfort on straight-track machines.
Adjustment range
The Easy Click system provides six seat height positions and five backrest inclinations. That is an unusually wide adjustment range for a plate-loaded press and it is the reason the machine accommodates both a 1.60 m and a 2.00 m user without compromise. The dual grip also allows the pushing angle to be varied to emphasise different portions of the deltoid.
Construction detail
- Carbon steel chassis, 3 mm wall, 100 x 50 mm and 70 x 50 mm sections, robot-welded with no spatter
- Reinforcing plates 8 to 10 mm for frame rigidity
- SKF double bearings, Ø52 x 15 mm, on Ø25 mm calibrated steel axles
- 70 mm high-density EVA foam with pebbled leather cover
- Technopolymer plate supports, protecting the frame finish and reducing loading noise
- 160 kg net weight
Commercial positioning
The SRX20 is specified by operators who want their strength floor to be a reason to join rather than a commodity. It sits naturally alongside the SRX31 triceps extension in an upper-body flow, and we will map the two into your existing layout on request. Frequently asked questions
Why iso-lateral for a shoulder press specifically?
Shoulder asymmetries are both visible and functionally significant, and a linked-arm press hides them. Independent arms prevent the stronger side compensating, which reduces the chronic imbalance that leads to shoulder problems over years of training.
Does it accommodate tall users?
Yes. Six seat heights and five inclinations give enough range to align a tall athlete with the pushing axis. This is one of the few plate-loaded presses in its class with that adjustment breadth.
What do the technopolymer plate supports do?
They protect the frame finish from scratching during plate loading and cut the metallic noise of plates being racked, which is a noticeable difference in a busy strength area.
