Description
The Bodytone Solid Rock X SRX80 is a half rack for squat, bench and shoulder press work with an Olympic bar, plus pull-ups. It gives a secured free-weight station in a smaller footprint than a full power rack. Professional price: 2,205 EUR excluding VAT.
Half rack or full power rack?
A full power cage encloses the lifter on four uprights: maximum safety, maximum floor area. A half rack keeps the two loaded uprights, the J-hooks and the safety arms, and drops the rear frame. In practice that means an open front, easier access for a coach, and a footprint that fits rooms where a full cage would block circulation.
The SRX80 sits alongside the SRX81 power rack in the Solid Rock X rack sub-range. Choose the SRX80 where floor area is the binding constraint and the station is coached or used by experienced members; choose the SRX81 where members train heavy and alone.

Who specifies it
Gyms, coaching studios and free-weight areas that need a secured squat and press station without giving up the floor area of a full cage. It is a common choice for a second or third lifting position in a room that already has one power rack.

Frequently asked questions
Is a half rack safe for training alone?
The safety arms catch a failed squat or press in the same way as a full cage. The difference is lateral: a half rack does not enclose the lifter, so it is best specified for coached sessions or experienced members, with a full power rack for unsupervised heavy work.
Does it need to be bolted to the floor?
We recommend floor fixing for any half rack used for dynamic lifts or pull-ups, since the open frame carries load asymmetrically. Fixing details depend on your floor build-up and are covered in the layout study.
Are bar and plates included?
No. The rack is supplied as a structure; the Olympic bar, plates and bench are specified separately so they can be matched to your programme and to the equipment you already hold.
