Description
The Bodytone Solid Rock SRX50 is a dual plate-loaded machine combining a standing calf raise and a guided squat, rated to 250 kg on a robot-welded 3 mm carbon steel frame with 15 adjustment positions. Professional price: 2,125 EUR excluding VAT.
Two lower-body stations, one footprint
Calf machines are hard to justify on their own: the exercise is short, the machine is single-purpose, and it occupies floor area that a squat station would use better. The SRX50 removes the choice by putting both functions on one frame. A user moves from standing calf raises to guided squats without changing machine, and the operator gets two stations for one footprint in the strength zone.
The guided squat path keeps the bar line fixed while the load sits on Olympic plate horns, so heavy work is possible without a spotter and without the setup time of a free barbell.

Who specifies it
Commercial gyms, performance centres and strength zones where floor area is the constraint on how many lower-body stations can be offered. It is a common finishing station in a leg session: heavy squats first, calf work on the same frame afterwards.
The SRX50 is part of the Bodytone SRX range, sharing frame sections and finish with the rest of the Solid Rock plate-loaded family.
Frequently asked questions
Why 15 adjustment positions?
Because shoulder and pad height determine whether the squat path aligns with the user hips. Fifteen positions cover the range from a 1.55 m to a 2.00 m user without compromise at either end.
Is the calf function a genuine station or an afterthought?
It uses the same lever and load, with an adjustable support that keeps tension constant through the range – which a free barbell standing calf raise does not. It is a full station, not an attachment.
How does the padding hold up under intensive use?
High-density antibacterial EVA foam is specified to resist acid sweat and continuous use, and pads are replaceable individually.
