Description
The Bodytone SRX60 is a 45 degree plate loaded leg press engineered for a linear, friction free trajectory under loads up to 250 kg. The sled runs on LM40UU linear bearings over solid 40 mm diameter shafts, which is what gives the movement its glide: there is no parasitic friction to mask the load, so the athlete feels the plates rather than the mechanism. The 45 degree inclination is the angle that maximises quadriceps and glute recruitment while keeping the lumbar spine supported, which matters most in the heaviest sets.
The chassis is 3 mm carbon steel in 100 x 50 mm and 75 x 50 mm tube, robot welded, and carries the full 250 kg without structural deflection. Upholstery is high density pebbled leather, chosen for abrasion and perspiration resistance as much as for appearance, over antibacterial EVA foam. An accessible locking system and a wide non slip footplate let an athlete train alone with confidence.

Specifying a leg press for a strength floor
Three details separate a leg press that lasts from one that does not, and all three are worth checking on any competing quotation. The first is the bearing and shaft system, since a bushing on a small diameter rail will develop play long before a linear bearing on a 40 mm shaft. The second is the wall thickness of the frame, because deflection under load is what eventually loosens welds. The third is the upholstery specification, since a press seat absorbs perspiration in a way few other machines do and is usually the first component to be replaced.
For the installation, allow the diagonal run of the sled plus entry and exit space at the head end, and site plate storage within arm’s reach on both sides. Weightlifting grade rubber flooring under the machine protects the slab and controls the noise of discs being seated. Because the loaded mass is concentrated, confirm the floor build up before installing above ground level.
Frequently asked questions
How much load can it take?
Up to 250 kg in total on the Olympic disc supports, which covers the working range of advanced and competitive lifters. Discs are not supplied and can be added to the same quotation.
Why choose 45 degrees rather than a vertical press?
The 45 degree sled distributes part of the load into the frame and gives a longer, more comfortable range with strong lumbar support, which suits general club members and high volume hypertrophy work. A vertical press concentrates the whole load along the line of push and is the more extreme option.
