Description
The Bodytone Solid Rock SRX63 is a plate-loaded hip thrust machine rated to 250 kg, built on a 3 mm carbon steel frame with a D-shaped base. It replaces the bench-and-barbell setup that most gyms improvise for hip thrusts, and it is priced at 2,317.50 EUR excluding VAT.
Why a dedicated machine rather than a bench and a barbell
The hip thrust is the most effective loaded exercise for the glutes, and it is also the one members set up worst. A free barbell over the hips needs a pad, a bench that will not tip, and a lift-off – three points of failure before the first repetition. The SRX63 fixes the movement path, supports the lumbar spine against a shaped pad and holds the load on a guided arm, so the user pushes and nothing else. In practice that means beginners can use it unsupervised and stronger members can load it properly.
Olympic plate horns sit at working height, so loading and unloading do not involve bending to floor level with a disc in each hand.

Where it earns its floor space
Commercial clubs, strength and conditioning facilities and performance centres. Glute-focused training is now one of the highest-demand areas on a gym floor, and a queue at a single hip thrust station is a retention problem as much as a programming one. Why choose the machine over free weights?

Will the upholstery survive intensive use?
