Description
The Raising Leg TRAINER is a pylon-mounted outdoor fitness station measuring 102 x 71 x 202 cm, weighing 25 kg and certified to EN 16630:2015-06 by TUV Rheinland. Built around the hanging leg raise, one of the most demanding bodyweight core exercises, it is the station experienced users head for on any outdoor circuit.
A hard station for strong cores
Supported on the forearms or hanging from the frame, the user raises the legs against gravity. The movement hits the abdominals and hip flexors hard, strengthens the arms and shoulders that hold the position, and improves the condition of the back muscles. Rated difficult, the Raising Leg complements the easier stations of a circuit and gives advanced users a genuine progression target: knee raises first, straight-leg raises later, controlled negatives beyond that.

Progressions coaches recommend
The station rewards structured progression. Beginners start with bent-knee raises, lifting the knees to hip height with a controlled lowering; intermediates extend to straight-leg raises below horizontal; advanced users work full leg raises to the bar and slow negatives. Coaches running outdoor sessions often use it in superset with an easier core station such as an incline board, letting mixed groups train the same block at their own level. Because the movement is self-limiting, when the core fatigues, the legs simply stop rising, it remains safe for unsupervised public use despite its difficult rating, provided the certified safety zone is respected.
Frequently asked questions
Who is this station aimed at?
Users comfortable with their own bodyweight: the leg raise is rated difficult and rewards regular practice. In a mixed circuit it serves as the advanced core station alongside easier equipment for beginners and seniors.
Is the mounting pylon included?
No. The module mounts on a TRAINER support pylon or a load-bearing wall; the fixing accessory is sold separately and one pylon can often carry more than one compact module, which reduces cost on multi-station layouts.
Is the station certified for public parks?
Yes. It complies with EN 16630:2015-06, the European standard for fixed outdoor fitness equipment, and is tested and certified by TUV Rheinland.
