Description
The Power Line Leg Extension is a selectorised quadriceps station with a 100 kg weight stack. It measures 1270 x 1595 x 1655 mm and weighs 200 kg. Professional price: 2,450 EUR excluding VAT.
The only station that isolates the quadriceps
Squats, leg presses and lunges all load the quadriceps inside a chain that includes the hip and the trunk. The leg extension is the only movement that loads knee extension alone. That makes it the reference station for quadriceps hypertrophy, for measuring one leg against the other, and for the early stages of knee rehabilitation where hip involvement has to be excluded.
- Selectorised 100 kg weight stack
- Adjustable back pad to align the knee with the pivot
- Adjustable shin roller for different limb lengths
- Range limiter to set the starting knee angle
- Steel weight plates insulated with noise-reducing PVC
- PVC-coated steel cable on high-strength nylon pulleys
- PU foam padding with synthetic leather
Muscles worked
Primary load on the quadriceps femoris: rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus medialis and vastus intermedius. The rectus femoris contribution rises as the hip approaches extension, so back pad position changes the emphasis as well as the comfort of the set-up.
Set-up
Set the back pad so the knee joint sits level with the pivot of the machine, and place the roller on the lower shin above the ankle rather than on the instep. Use the range limiter to avoid a deep starting angle where a user reports discomfort. Extend under control and resist the return.

Frequently asked questions
Can one leg be trained at a time?
Yes, by extending with a single leg at a reduced load. This is the standard method for correcting a measured difference between sides and is used routinely in supervised return-to-training programmes.
What does the range limiter change?
It sets how deep the knee is flexed at the start of the repetition. Reducing the range keeps the joint out of positions a user finds uncomfortable, which is what allows the station to be used early in a rehabilitation progression as well as by trained members.
How much floor space is needed?
The machine occupies 1270 x 1595 mm, the same footprint as the seated leg curl, so the two site neatly side by side. Allow clear access at the rear for the stack. At 200 kg, check the slab capacity on upper floors.
