Converting between adduction and abduction is a matter of repositioning the pads: the same seat, the same stack, the same footprint. Set-up

Set the starting width conservatively, especially in adduction where an over-wide start places the adductors under stretch before the set begins. Keep the back against the support, move under control and avoid letting the pads snap back at the end of a repetition. Progress the range before progressing the load.
