Description
The Power Line Seated Chest Press is a selectorised pressing station with a 100 kg weight stack, measuring 1350 x 1040 mm for a machine weight of 205 kg. Bringing the handles together drives two opposed cam shafts, which move the cable, pulley and stack in a controlled path. Professional price: 2,550 EUR excluding VAT.
A press that does not load the spine
The seated chest press produces the same compound loading as a bench press on the pectoralis major, anterior deltoid, triceps and serratus anterior, but with the trunk fully supported. There is no axial load on the spine and no spotter required, which is what makes it the first pressing station most commercial floors specify.
- Selectorised 100 kg weight stack, load changed in seconds
- Hydraulic seat height adjustment, so users of different statures share the same station
- Padded seat and back with a flat surface giving better leverage during the press
- Several handle positions, working grip strength as well as arm strength
- PVC-coated steel cable, reducing friction and extending cable life
- High-strength nylon pulleys
- Steel weight plates insulated with noise-reducing PVC
- PU foam padding with synthetic leather, shock absorbing and easy to clean
- Integrated towel holder
Muscles worked
Primary load on the pectoralis major, with the anterior deltoids, triceps and serratus anterior involved throughout. Trunk stabilisation against the back pad also recruits the abdominal wall, and the seated, supported posture supports work on posture and control for users who cannot yet handle free weights.
Setting up a user
Set seat height so the handles align with the mid-chest, then select a light load for the first sets. Digital markings on the stack are printed in yellow for legibility, so a member can record their working load and reproduce it exactly at the next session. Increase the load progressively rather than in large steps.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the cable PVC coated?
The coating reduces friction where the cable runs over the pulleys, which both smooths the movement and slows the wear that eventually frays a bare steel cable. On a station used continuously it is the single change that most extends service intervals.
What does the PVC insulation on the plates do?
It cuts the metallic noise when the stack returns. In an open-plan gym, ten selectorised machines with bare plates produce a constant background clatter; insulated plates make the same floor noticeably quieter without affecting the load.
How much floor space is needed?
The machine occupies 1350 x 1040 mm, which is larger than most selectorised stations. Allow clear access at the rear for the stack and around 60 cm on the entry side. At 205 kg, check the slab loading on upper floors.
