Description
The Power Line Triceps Dip is a selectorised seated dip station with a 100 kg weight stack. It measures 1300 x 1545 x 1655 mm and weighs 225 kg, and a padded shoulder restraint holds the user in place as the load rises. Professional price: 2,450 EUR excluding VAT.
A dip any member can actually perform
A bodyweight dip is a fixed load: it is either too hard or too easy, and there is no way to progress towards it except assistance bands. This station makes the same movement selectable in small increments, from far below body weight to well above it, which is what allows a beginner and a trained member to use one station productively.
- Selectorised 100 kg weight stack
- Padded shoulder restraint holding the user against the seat under load
- Adjustable seat height to set the shoulder and elbow start position
- Steel weight plates insulated with noise-reducing PVC
- PVC-coated steel cable on high-strength nylon pulleys
- PU foam padding with synthetic leather
Muscles worked
Primary load on the triceps brachii, with the lower pectorals and anterior deltoids assisting according to trunk angle. Because the seat and restraint fix the torso, the contribution of body position stays constant between sets, so the change on the stack genuinely reflects a change in triceps strength.
Set-up
Adjust the seat until the elbows begin at around 90 degrees with the upper arms close to the trunk, then set the shoulder restraint firmly enough to prevent lifting. Push through to extension without locking hard, and control the return rather than letting the stack drop.

Frequently asked questions
Is it suitable for beginners as well as trained users?
Yes, and that is the point of the station. The load is selected rather than fixed, so a new member can start well below body weight and progress in controlled steps while a trained member works above it on the same machine.
Why is the shoulder restraint needed?
Without it, a heavy set lifts the user out of the seat and the movement turns into a partial press. The restraint keeps the trunk anchored so the whole load passes through the elbow extension, which is what the exercise is meant to train.
How much floor space is required?
The machine occupies 1300 x 1545 mm. Allow clear access at the rear for the stack and enough room on the entry side for a user to sit down under the restraint. At 225 kg, check the slab capacity on upper floors.
