Description

The Lexco LS-114 is an assisted chin and dip station with a 75 kg counterweight stack, allowing pull ups and dips to be performed with part of the body weight supported. The assistance is selected on the stack, so a member reduces it progressively until the movement is performed unassisted, which is the clearest progression a gym can offer on a body weight exercise.

Combining chin ups and dips on one frame covers the two fundamental upper body patterns, vertical pulling and vertical pressing, in a footprint of 113.7 x 131.8 cm. For a hotel gym or a municipal facility with limited floor area, that combination often replaces two separate machines.

The station belongs to the Lexco Falcon series: full ABS shrouds, memory foam pads and marine grade upholstery, for a total machine weight of 256 kg. Its overall height of 227.3 cm makes ceiling clearance the first thing to check, since the user stands on the assistance platform and reaches above it.

Why an assisted station changes a programme

Body weight pulling is the exercise members most often abandon, because the first repetition is either possible or it is not. A counterweight stack turns it into a graded exercise: 40 kg of assistance today, 30 kg next month, none by the end of the programme. Instructors can write that progression into a plan and members can see it.

Position the station where the user can be seen, not against a wall in a corner. Assisted work is often the first strength exercise a beginner attempts, and visibility of good technique is part of what makes the station used.

Frequently asked questions

How does the assistance work?

A counterweight of up to 75 kg supports part of the user body weight on the knee or foot platform, reducing the effective load of the pull up or the dip.

What ceiling height does the station need?

The frame is 227.3 cm high, and clearance is required above it for the user reaching the bar. Confirm with the layout study for your room.

Does it replace a separate dip station?

For most facilities, yes. Both movements are performed on the same frame, which is the reason the station is chosen where floor area is limited.
