Description
The Lexco LS-106 is a butterfly machine with a 100 kg weight stack and a start bar that sets where the movement begins. Adjusting the start position is what allows one machine to suit a member with tight shoulders and a member who wants the full stretch.
On a pec deck the difficult part is never the contraction, it is the open position. A fixed start forces every user into the same degree of shoulder extension, which is comfortable for some and a warning sign for others. The start bar rotates the arms inward before the set, so the range is chosen deliberately rather than inherited from the previous user. The handle angle rotates as well, which keeps the wrist neutral for a broad spread of shoulder widths.
Seat height moves through ten steps on a rack and pinion lift with a gas spring, so the pad meets the chest at the right level without tools. The machine weighs 292 kg and stands 1506 mm tall, low enough for rooms with limited headroom and heavy enough to stay still under load. Double sided ABS covers close the stack on both faces.

Pairing the butterfly with the chest press
Horizontal adduction is not reproduced by any pressing movement, which is why the butterfly and the chest press are almost always installed together rather than as alternatives. Members use them in sequence, so keep them adjacent and leave a walking corridor between the two seats.
The station is nearly 1.5 m square in plan, and the stack is loaded from the side, so allow access on one flank. At 292 kg, confirm the delivery route, any lift capacity and the floor build up before ordering. A siting study with clearances is issued with the quotation once we have your room drawing. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.
Frequently asked questions
What does the start bar actually change?
It sets the arm position before the user takes the handles. Pulled in, the set begins with less shoulder extension, which suits members with restricted mobility. Released, the arms open further and the pectoral stretch increases.
Is a butterfly suitable for beginners?
Yes, and it is often the first chest exercise a new member manages confidently. The path is guided, the load is selected with a pin, and there is no bar to control, so a coach can teach the movement in a single session.
How much ceiling height does it need?
The machine itself stands 1506 mm tall, so headroom is rarely the constraint. What matters more is the clearance around the seat and the loading side, which we confirm on the siting plan.
