Description
The Lexco LS-104 is a seated shoulder press with a 100 kg stack, an angled handle path and an optional start bar that moves the seat start position to extend the range. The angle is the part that matters, because it sets where the shoulder is when the load arrives.
Overhead pressing is the movement most often modified for members with shoulder complaints, and the modification usually comes down to the position of the hands relative to the torso. A handle path angled slightly forward keeps the humerus out of the most provocative position while still loading the deltoid through a full press. On a guided machine that path is fixed by design rather than left to the user, which is why a shoulder press station tends to be used by members who avoid the barbell version entirely.
Seat height runs through ten steps on a rack and pinion lift with a gas damper, so the handles start level with the shoulder for a range of user heights. The frame is oval steel tube 50 x 105 mm with a 3.0 mm wall, the finished machine weighs 253 kg, and double sided ABS shrouds close the stack on both faces.

Where a shoulder press belongs in the equipment plan
A guided shoulder press is the station that lets a club offer overhead pressing to the whole membership rather than to the minority comfortable with a barbell. It sits naturally beside the chest press, since members move between the two, and it keeps the free weight area free for lifters who want it.
The footprint is roughly 1.36 by 1.31 m and the machine stands 1506 mm tall, so headroom is rarely the limiting factor; the stack loading side is. Leave a clear flank for plate selection and space in front of the seat for entry. At 253 kg, confirm the delivery route and lift access before ordering. A siting plan with clearances is issued with the quotation once we have your room drawing. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, quote export per project, and dispatch within five to ten working days from stock.
Frequently asked questions
Is a machine shoulder press safer than a barbell press?
It removes the need to control the bar and the need for a spotter, and it fixes the path. That makes it more accessible, and it is the version most rehabilitation programmes start with. It does not train the stabilising work a free bar demands, which is a different objective.
What does the start bar do?
It moves the beginning of the movement so the handles start lower or higher, extending or shortening the range. It is an option on this model rather than standard equipment.
Which muscles does the machine train?
Principally the deltoids, with the triceps assisting the press and the upper chest contributing at the start of the range depending on the seat setting.
