Description
The Gold SPG002 pec fly is the tallest isolation station in the Ellipse range at 2,070 mm, with a 102 kg selectorised stack, a 298 kg frame and a 1,380 x 1,495 mm footprint. Maximum user weight is 180 kg.
Horizontal adduction with the elbow supported
The pec fly loads the pectoralis major through horizontal adduction with minimal triceps involvement, which makes it the natural complement to a chest press rather than a duplicate of it. The SPG002 supports the arm along a pad so the shoulder works in a fixed plane; the member is not managing dumbbell stabilisation while trying to feel the chest. In a club, that means the station delivers a usable training effect from the first session.
- Seated horizontal adduction isolating the pectoral group
- 102 kg pin-selected stack
- Arm pad support with adjustable start position
- 2,070 x 1,380 x 1,495 mm, the tallest frame in the isolation group
- 298 kg machine weight, maximum user weight 180 kg
Why the 2,070 mm height matters
Two practical consequences. First, check delivery access: doorways and lift heights should be confirmed before scheduling, as this station is delivered largely pre-assembled. Second, in rooms with suspended ceilings, lighting or ductwork below 2.4 m, verify clearance at the intended position. Most facilities have no issue, but converted units and basement gyms sometimes do.
Chest zone specification
The standard chest pair is the SPG001 seated press and the SPG002 fly. Where a third station is justified by traffic, clubs typically add a cable crossover rather than another fixed machine, because it broadens the movement options for the same floor area. For a facility choosing only one chest station, the press is the more complete choice; the fly is the one that members ask for.

Frequently asked questions
Is the start position adjustable for shoulder comfort?
Yes, and it should be set individually. A start position too far back stretches the anterior shoulder capsule under load, which is the most common cause of discomfort on any fly station. Members with restricted shoulder mobility should start from a narrower position.
Does it also train the rear deltoid?
This configuration is a pec fly. Combined fly and rear-delt units exist in other ranges; if reverse fly is a requirement, tell us at specification stage and we will propose the correct model rather than assume the SPG002 covers it.
What access is needed for delivery?
Confirm door width, corridor turns and lift internal height. At 2,070 mm tall and 298 kg, the station is the most access-sensitive machine in the range and the one most likely to require a delivery survey.
