Description
The Gold SPG006 lat pulldown stands 2,130 mm high with a 1,290 x 1,635 mm footprint, a 282 kg frame and a 102 kg selectorised stack. Maximum user weight is 180 kg.
Vertical pulling for members who cannot yet do a pull-up
Only a minority of gym members can perform a strict pull-up. The lat pulldown is how everyone else trains vertical pulling, and it is the reason the station appears in essentially every commercial specification. The SPG006 uses a 102 kg stack with a thigh restraint to hold the member down as loads rise, which is the component that determines whether a heavier member can actually use the top of the stack.
- Seated vertical pulldown loading latissimus dorsi, teres major and biceps
- 102 kg pin-selected stack
- Adjustable thigh restraint to hold the user at higher loads
- 2,130 x 1,290 x 1,635 mm overall
- 282 kg machine weight, maximum user weight 180 kg
Height clearance and installation
At 2,130 mm this is one of two stations in the range that need a ceiling check. Allow clearance above the top pulley for cable movement and for maintenance access. Basement gyms, converted retail units and gyms under a mezzanine are the sites where this becomes a real constraint, and it is worth measuring before ordering rather than after delivery.
Grip variation and programming
The station accepts different bar attachments, so a single machine covers wide-grip, close-grip and neutral-grip pulldowns. That range of variation is what allows a club to run a back programme through several training blocks without adding equipment. Standard programming is 3 to 4 sets of 8 to 12 repetitions, with grip rotated between blocks rather than within a session.

Frequently asked questions
Which bar attachment is supplied?
A standard pulldown bar is supplied. Additional attachments such as close-grip and neutral-grip handles can be added to the order; confirm the list at quotation so the accessories arrive with the machine rather than separately.
How is the thigh restraint set?
Snug against the thighs with the member seated, tight enough to prevent lifting off the seat at the heaviest working load. A restraint left loose is the usual reason a member cannot use loads above roughly two-thirds of their body weight.
What ceiling height should be allowed?
The machine is 2,130 mm tall. A finished ceiling height of 2.5 m or more is comfortable; below that, check the exact position against lighting and services before confirming the layout.
Professional price: 1,950 EUR excluding VAT. Usually specified with the SPG005 seated row as a back pair. Send us your ceiling height and floor plan and we will confirm the layout and price within 24 to 72 hours.
