Description
The Gold SPG010 triceps machine runs a 90 kg selectorised stack on a 232 kg frame. Its 1,090 x 1,950 mm footprint is the widest in the Ellipse arm group, and maximum user weight is 180 kg.
Elbow extension without shoulder compensation
Cable pushdowns are the default triceps exercise in most clubs, and the default fault is a forward-leaning torso that turns the movement into a partial press. The SPG010 seats the user with the upper arm supported, so the elbow extends against the stack and the shoulder cannot contribute. The result is a movement that produces consistent loading regardless of how much coaching the member has had.
- Seated triceps extension with upper-arm support
- 90 kg pin-selected stack, matched to the SPG009 biceps station
- 1,090 x 1,950 mm footprint, 1,650 mm height
- 232 kg machine weight, maximum user weight 180 kg
- Free-standing frame, no anchoring required on a suitable floor
Building an arm zone around it
The SPG010 and the SPG009 biceps curl are designed to be installed as a pair, sharing the same 90 kg stack size so that members and instructors work with comparable numbers on both sides of the elbow. A typical arm zone superset is 3 sets of 12 on each station with no rest between the two, which only works if the machines are within a couple of metres of each other. Note the 1,950 mm width when planning: this station needs more lateral space than its neighbours.
Suitable settings
Commercial clubs, hotel and corporate gyms, and personal training studios all use this station. In smaller facilities where a single arm machine has to cover both functions, a cable station with interchangeable handles is the alternative; where the arm zone is a selling point, the dedicated pair is the better specification.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the footprint so wide?
The 1,950 mm dimension covers the machine at its widest point including the arm pad assembly and the stack column. When drawing a layout, use the full width rather than the frame base, and add access space on the entry side.
Does it replace a dip station?
No. A dip loads the triceps together with the chest and shoulder at bodyweight or above and is a compound movement. The SPG010 is a single-joint isolation station used for accessory volume. Clubs that want both usually pair it with an assisted dip and pull-up unit.
Can the load be changed mid-set?
Yes. Drop sets are straightforward on a pin-selected stack, which is one of the practical reasons selectorised machines suit high-volume arm training better than plate-loaded units.
Professional price: 1,950 EUR excluding VAT. Supplied individually or as a matched arm pair with the SPG009. Send us your floor plan and we will return a layout and price within 24 to 72 hours.
