A whole body movement that feels like play
The rider reproduces a horse riding action, a back and forth motion in which the arms pull while the legs push. It strengthens the arms, back, chest and legs and improves cardio respiratory capacity, and it develops motor skills through the rhythm the movement requires.
What makes it worth specifying is that nobody experiences it as exercise. On municipal areas the rider is used by children, teenagers and adults alike, often for far longer than the machines that look like gym equipment, and time on the apparatus is what produces the benefit.

The rhythmic, whole body, low impact nature of the movement is the reason it is credited with supporting mental as well as physical health. Materials and finish
High quality steel structure, shot blasted and galvanised, covered with a double layer of polyester paint. The seat is in HDPE panels resistant to UV and to impact. Colours: yellow (RAL 1018/7004), graphite (RAL 7016/9006), orange (RAL 2000/9006) and lime (RAL 6018/9006), other shades on request. Galvanised and painted carbon steel, not stainless steel.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the safety zone so large for such a small station?
Because the user and the seat travel through an arc well beyond the frame. The apparatus occupies 98 x 63 cm but the working envelope requires 426 x 372 cm, and nothing, including planting, paths and other equipment, should sit inside it.
Is it suitable for children?
It is designed as adult outdoor fitness equipment, and on a public area children will use it. The maximum user weight is 150 kg and the difficulty is easy. The safety zone and the surfacing specification are what govern safe use, and we size both in the layout study.
Does 30 kg mean it is less robust?
No. The low weight follows from the compact geometry, not from a lighter specification: the structure, the galvanising and the double polyester paint system are the same as on the rest of the range, and the station carries the same EN 16630:2015-06 certification.
