Description
The TRAINER R18A single hand wheels station measures 57 x 100 x 140-150 cm, weighs 35 kg and needs a safety zone of 400 x 357 cm. It is the free-standing single-user model from the OutdoorStart range, carrying its own base rather than mounting on a shared post.
A joint warm-up station, not a strength station
The wheels turn freely, so the exercise loads almost nothing. That is the design intent. Turning the shoulder through a full circle before a session prepares the joint capsule for the pressing and pulling stations further along the trail, and doing it daily preserves range of motion in users who would never attempt a pull-up bar. Rated easy, the station is approachable for every age group and requires no instruction at all.
- Works the shoulder girdle and the arms
- Improves flexibility and joint mobility in the upper limbs
- Difficulty rating: easy, open to all users
- Maximum user weight 150 kg
Materials and compliance
The structure is high-grade steel, shot-blasted and galvanised, finished with a double layer of polyester paint. The rotating grips are UV-resistant HDPE panel, a material that stays comfortable in the hand in full sun where a metal grip would not. The station complies with EN 16630:2015-06 and has been tested and certified by TUV Rheinland. Colourways are yellow (RAL 1018/7004), graphite (RAL 7016/9006), orange (RAL 2000/9006) and lime (RAL 6018/9006), with other shades on request.

Where to place it
At the entrance to a fitness area rather than in the middle of it. Sets last under a minute, so the station generates almost no queueing, and its two working heights between 140 and 150 cm mean users of different sizes can use it without adjustment.
Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from the double hand wheels?
Capacity. The single unit serves one user; the double version lets two people work side by side, which matters on busy municipal sites and in schools where a group rotates through the stations.
Is there any resistance to set?
No. The wheels rotate freely and the user controls the pace. Nothing to adjust means nothing to break or to be tampered with in a free-access installation.
Can it be added to an existing trail?
Yes. As a free-standing station it needs only its own foundation, so it can be installed without disturbing the posts and layout already in the ground.
Tell us the site dimensions, the number of stations and the surfacing in place, and we will return a layout proposal with a costed quotation.
