Description
The Etenon R5503 is a unilateral lying leg curl. The user lies prone, which neutralises the lumbar spine, and each leg is loaded independently through its own plate-loaded arm.
Why independent arms change what you can measure
On a bilateral leg curl the stronger leg quietly takes more of the load, and the difference never appears in the training log. Two independent arms make each side answer for itself: the coach sets the same load on both and sees immediately which side fails first. That turns the station into an assessment tool as well as a training one, which is why it is specified by physical preparation centres and by clubs with a sporting membership.
Specification
- Independent unilateral movement for each leg.
- Prone position isolating the hamstrings with the lower back neutral.
- Plate-loaded, with no electronics and correspondingly little maintenance.
- Padded ankle roller with free rotation for ankle comfort.
- Reinforced steel frame in Q235, oven-cured epoxy paint.
Where it fits on the floor
The R5503 is a complement to a bilateral leg curl rather than a replacement for it, and it is worth confirming that both are genuinely needed before ordering. We review the existing machine inventory and position the station on the 3D layout so that it adds a new use rather than duplicating one. Typical settings are physical preparation centres, clubs with amateur sports members, sports physiotherapy and reconditioning practices, and advanced strength floors that programme unilateral work.

Frequently asked questions
Can both legs be worked at once?
The arms are independent, so both can be loaded and moved together if preferred. The value of the machine, though, lies in working one side at a time.
Does it duplicate a bilateral leg curl we already own?
Only if unilateral work is not programmed. Where it is, the two stations serve different purposes. We assess this against your existing inventory before quoting rather than after.
What maintenance does a plate-loaded machine need?
Periodic inspection of the bearings, fasteners and upholstery. With no cables, no stack and no electronics, there is nothing to calibrate and no consumable to replace on a schedule.
