Description
The TRAINER SW01A street workout ladder weighs 65 kg, stands 202 cm high on a 14 x 8 cm post section, and needs a safety zone of 410 x 540 cm. It is a calisthenics station: every exercise is performed hanging from the rungs, with body weight as the only resistance.
Suspended training, and why the safety zone is large
The frame itself is slim, a single upright and the ladder assembly, but the clear area required is one of the largest in the range at 410 x 540 cm. That is not an inconsistency: a user hanging from the rungs swings, and the zone has to cover the arc of a body in motion plus a fall from full extension. Planning from the post footprint rather than the safety zone is the single most common error on street workout layouts.
- Muscles worked: arms, legs, waist, abdominals, back and chest
- Improves upper and lower limb mobility
- Develops cardiorespiratory condition through continuous sets
- Difficulty rating: moderate, minimum user height 140 cm, maximum user weight 150 kg
Modularity
The ladder is designed to sit inside a wider street workout area rather than to stand alone. Combined with pull-up bars, parallel bars and the other units in the TRAINER street workout range, it forms a continuous circuit on a shared surfacing specification, which is both cheaper to install and easier to inspect than a set of isolated stations.

Where it is installed
Urban parks, calisthenics areas and street workout zones. Because the exercises are demanding, it draws a younger and more athletic user group than a fitness trail station, which is worth considering when placing it: a calisthenics cluster works better grouped together than scattered among gentler equipment.
Frequently asked questions
What surfacing is required underneath?
EN 16630 sets impact attenuation according to the free height of fall, and a suspended station has one of the highest in an outdoor area. Rubber tiles or a poured surface are the usual answers; grass alone is not sufficient.
Can it be installed on its own?
Technically yes, but it is designed as part of a modular area. A single ladder gives a narrow exercise range, whereas the same budget spread across a ladder and a bar unit covers far more of the calisthenics repertoire.
Is it suitable for beginners?
The difficulty rating is moderate and every exercise requires supporting body weight from the arms. Beginners generally start on lower stations and progress to the ladder, which is another argument for installing it within a mixed area.
