A fixed bar built to carry rings
Gymnastic rings are the most demanding body weight apparatus there is, because the anchor points move. Every repetition asks the shoulder stabilisers to control an unstable support, which is why ring work develops strength that transfers and why it cannot be replicated on a fixed bar.
This structure exists to make that possible outdoors. It is a fixed horizontal bar at 220 cm, dimensioned to carry suspension rings and to take the swinging loads they generate. Rings are removable, so the bar also serves as a straight pull up station when they are not fitted.
What it trains
Ring work strengthens the arms, legs, waist, abdomen, back and chest, improves limb mobility and builds cardio respiratory endurance. Difficulty is rated medium: this is a station for users who already have a base, and it gives an area somewhere for its regulars to progress to.

Materials and installation
Tubular high quality steel, shot blasted then galvanised, covered with a double layer of polyester paint resistant to weather and UV. The structure is anchored to the ground for optimum outdoor stability. Colours: yellow (RAL 1018/7004), graphite (RAL 7016/9006), orange (RAL 2000/9006) or lime (RAL 6018/9006), other shades on request. Galvanised and painted carbon steel, not stainless steel.

Frequently asked questions
Are the rings included?
The structure is designed to receive suspension rings, which are quoted separately. On a public area rings are usually specified as a removable item so they can be stored or replaced without touching the structure.
Why is the safety zone so deep?
420 x 580 cm looks large next to a 180 cm bar, and it is exactly right: rings swing, and the envelope has to cover the arc a user travels through. Nothing, including planting, paths and other equipment, should sit inside it.
Can it be combined with other apparatus?
Yes. It is modular and designed to combine freely with the other street workout modules in the range, which is how a calisthenics area is normally built up over one or two phases.
