Description
The TRAINER SW16 punch bag station weighs 140 kg, measures 150 x 31 x 202 cm and needs a safety zone of 431 x 550 cm. It puts striking practice into a public fitness area, an exercise category that outdoor equipment ranges usually leave out entirely.
What it adds to a street workout area
Bars, parallels and wall bars all train pushing, pulling and bodyweight control. None of them train impact. A bag station covers striking, and it does so with a movement pattern that pulls in a different user group, typically teenagers and young adults who use a park in the evening. The bag hangs from its own steel support structure, so it can be positioned as a standalone unit or combined with pull-up bars, parallel bars and wall bars from the same range to build a complete street workout area.
- Muscles worked: arms, shoulders, back, chest, abdominals, waist and legs
- Also improves limb mobility and cardio-respiratory condition
- Difficulty rating: moderate
- Minimum user height 140 cm, maximum user weight 150 kg
Structure and finish
The supporting structure is high-grade tubular steel, shot-blasted, galvanised, then finished with a double layer of polyester paint resistant to UV, corrosion and impact. That impact resistance is not a marketing point on this reference in particular: a bag frame absorbs repeated shock loading in a way that a static station never does, and the coating has to survive it. Colourways are yellow (RAL 1018/7004), graphite (RAL 7016/9006), orange (RAL 2000/9006) and lime (RAL 6018/9006), with other RAL references on request.

Siting the station
The safety zone is deep at 550 cm on one axis, because a bag swings and users move around it. Keep that axis clear of paths and benches. Note also that a bag station generates noise, so avoid placing it directly against residential frontage; the far side of a city stadium or the edge of a workout area usually works better.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need its own foundation?
Yes. At 140 kg plus dynamic loading from striking, this station is anchored on its own base rather than shared with a neighbouring unit. We supply the foundation detail with the quotation.
Can it be installed in a school?
It is specified for schools and sports facilities as well as public parks. In a school setting the usual approach is to place it within a supervised area and to include it in the standard EN 16630 inspection routine.
How does it combine with other stations?
The range is modular by design, so a bag frame, pull-up bars, parallel bars and wall bars can be laid out as a continuous area with a shared surfacing specification. Send us the site plan and we will propose a layout.
Tell us the number of stations, the site dimensions and the surfacing planned, and we will return a full street workout quotation with equipment, freight and installation.
