An abdominal station for a street workout area
Outdoor abdominal work usually means lying on the ground, which nobody does willingly on a public surface. An inclined bench with foot rests solves that: the user is off the ground, the feet are secured, and the incline sets the difficulty without any adjustment.
The movement trains the abdominal wall, the obliques and the lower back, and it also recruits the arms, legs and chest depending on how the trunk raise is performed. Difficulty is rated medium, which places it a step above the entry level stations of a health trail.
Modular by design
The bench is built to combine freely with the other apparatus in the TRAINER range. On a city stadium or a collective street workout area, that means the abdominal station can be positioned as part of a continuous circuit rather than as an isolated item, and the layout can be extended later without changing the design language of the area.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the safety zone so much larger than the bench?
EN 16630 requires clear space around the whole working envelope, not just around the structure. On a sit up bench the user body extends well beyond the frame, so the zone is 410 x 470 cm. Nothing, including paths, planting and other equipment, should sit inside it.
What surfacing is required underneath?
The bench is a body weight station without a raised standing position, so the surfacing requirement is generally lighter than for a pull up structure. We confirm the impact requirement for your specific layout before the order and can price the surfacing with the equipment.
Can it be combined with a pull up structure?
Yes. It is designed to combine with the other TRAINER apparatus, and an abdominal bench next to a pull up and dip structure is the classic core of a compact street workout area.
