Description
The TRAINER balance beam is a low-level street workout module, 250 cm long and 26 cm high, weighing 20 kg. It trains balance, proprioception and motor coordination inside a safety zone of 308 x 550 cm, and connects freely with the rest of the TRAINER street workout range to form a continuous circuit. Certified to EN 16630:2015-06 by TUV Rheinland, price 648 EUR excluding VAT.
The cheapest station that changes how a circuit is used
Balance work is the element most street workout areas omit and most users need. Pull-up bars and dip stations build the pulling and pressing chain; nothing on a standard rig trains the ankle, the foot and the postural reflexes that decide whether an older user stays mobile or a young athlete stays injury-free.
- Balance, proprioception and motor coordination as the primary objective
- Recruits legs, waist, abdominals and back as postural stabilisers
- Arms, shoulders and chest engaged in the more advanced variations
- Improves limb mobility and, in circuit format, cardio-respiratory conditioning
- Modular: combines with any other TRAINER street workout module

Height, risk and where to place it
At 26 cm the beam is deliberately low. That figure is a design decision rather than a limitation: it keeps the fall height negligible, which means the module can be installed on the same surface as the rest of the circuit without a dedicated impact zone, and it removes the hesitation that stops less confident users from stepping on at all.
The safety zone is 308 x 550 cm, longer than the beam itself because a user stepping off does so laterally along its whole length. Keep that envelope clear of other modules, benches and planting. In practice the beam works well as the linking element between two grouped stations, since users walk it on the way from one to the other.
The tubular steel is shot blasted and galvanised before the two polyester coats, so ground-level contact points are protected by zinc rather than paint. Ideal for city stadiums, urban parks, schools and sports facilities. See the full street workout rig range and the outdoor gym equipment catalogue.
Frequently asked questions
Is 26 cm high enough to train balance usefully?
Yes. Balance training is driven by the width of the support surface and the instability demand, not by the drop. A narrow beam at 26 cm produces the same proprioceptive work as a higher one while keeping the station usable by every visitor to the park.
Can several beams be installed end to end?
Yes. Modules in the TRAINER street workout range are designed to combine, and beams placed in line or at an angle make a longer balance course. We draw the arrangement and the combined safety envelope at layout stage.
Does the beam need impact-absorbing surfacing?
At 26 cm the free fall height is minimal, so the beam generally sits on the same surface as the rest of the circuit. Where the fitness area adjoins a play area or the client requires a tested surface, surfacing is specified on the layout plan.
Send us the modules you are considering and the dimensions of the site, and we will return a scaled street workout layout with the safety zones drawn and each module costed. Quotations are issued within 24 to 72 hours.
