Height, safety area and inspection

At just under four metres this is one of the taller modules in the range, and the 580 x 491 cm safety area reflects the swing envelope of a suspended user rather than the footprint of the frame. Surface the whole zone against the free height of fall given on the installation drawing, and keep it clear of trees, lighting columns and path edges. Ground anchoring is required and the foundation design must account for the height.

The tubular steel is shot blasted and hot dip galvanised before the two coat polyester finish, so corrosion protection is independent of the paint. On a rings structure the suspension attachment points take the most cyclic load; include them explicitly in the routine operational inspection along with the anchors, and record the annual main inspection.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Not as a first station. The difficulty rating is intermediate and the instability of a ring grip demands a base of pulling strength. A park serving mixed levels should install a fixed bar station alongside it.

Why is the safety area so much larger than the structure?
