Description
The TRAINER Steel4Fit Hand Wheels are a free-standing outdoor arm rotation station in the reinforced Steel4Fit specification. The unit measures approximately 57 x 100 x 140 to 150 cm, weighs around 35 kg and requires a safety zone of about 400 x 357 cm. Certified to EN 16630:2015 by TUV Rheinland, it is supplied by Light In Fitness at 1,596 EUR excluding VAT.
Circular arm movement, each side independent
The user grips one wheel in each hand and turns them in circles, forwards or backwards, together or in opposition. Because each wheel has its own axis, the two arms are never linked: the range, the speed and the direction can differ from side to side. That is what makes this station useful beyond simple warm-up work, and it is the reason it appears in functional rehabilitation specifications as often as in general fitness circuits.
- Strengthens the shoulder girdle: deltoids and trapezius
- Works the arms: biceps and triceps
- Improves suppleness and mobility of the shoulder joints
- Difficulty rated easy, suitable for warm-up, gentle conditioning and functional rehabilitation
Reinforced for high-traffic sites
Steel4Fit takes the proven TRAINER design and rebuilds it for locations with very heavy footfall. Curved members are formed in seamless S355 steel and straight components in S235, the assembly is welded to a high standard, hot-dip galvanised and then powder coated twice for maximum protection against corrosion and UV. The finish is the range’s red and graphite scheme (RAL 3000 / RAL 7016). Specify it for campuses, dense residential areas and public spaces where equipment has to survive without close supervision.

Frequently asked questions
How does this differ from the helm wheel?
The helm is a single large rim turned with both hands, which produces one wide shared arc. The hand wheels are two smaller independent discs, one per arm, which allows each shoulder to work through its own range at its own speed. For rehabilitation and for users with an asymmetry, the hand wheels are the more useful of the two.
Can it be used seated, from a wheelchair?
Not as standard: this unit is dimensioned for a standing user of at least 140 cm. Wheelchair-accessible arm stations exist as a separate range, with the approach clearance and handle height set for a seated user.
What does the annual inspection cover?
Anchorage, structural condition, coating integrity and the state of the two rotation bearings, checked for play and for noise. The bearings are sealed units and are replaced rather than serviced when they reach the end of their life.
