Description
The Twister Simple Steel4Fit is a single-position outdoor waist twister built to the reinforced Steel4Fit standard. It measures approximately 78.5 x 74 x 140 to 150 cm, weighs around 45 kg and needs a safety zone of about 3.79 x 3.74 m. The station everyone starts on
Ask any council which unit in their fitness area gets used most and the answer is usually the twister. It requires nothing: no strength, no instruction, no change of clothes. The user steps on, holds the column and rotates the hips, which mobilises the hip joints and the lumbar spine, engages the abdominal muscles and opens the chest. Why the reinforced build on the simplest station
Volume of use, not intensity of use, is what wears outdoor equipment out. A twister that turns thousands of times a month puts more cumulative work through its bearing and its base than a pull-up bar does through its welds. Single or triple twister?
The single unit suits a linear trail where stations are spaced along a route, or a small site where one warm-up station is enough. A triple version makes sense in a concentrated fitness area with real peak-hour demand, or where group sessions are planned. The single unit in Steel4Fit specification is the more robust of the two options.
Does it need an impact-attenuating surface?
The user stands close to ground level, so the free height of fall is low and a bound surface is often sufficient. The determination is made per site and confirmed on the installation drawing along with the surfacing specification.
How long does the finish last?
Hot-dip galvanising under two coats of powder paint is designed for the full service life of the equipment in a temperate climate. Local coating damage is touched up during the annual main inspection; the galvanised layer underneath continues to protect the steel in the meantime.
