Description
The Steel4Fit double quadriceps press offers two leg press stations on one frame, so two people train at the same time on a single item of equipment. On a busy municipal fitness area that is not a convenience but a capacity decision: a double unit halves the queue at the station members use most, and it does so without doubling the safety zone.
The movement develops the leg and waist musculature, principally the quadriceps, the gluteals and the lower abdominals, while training whole body coordination. The difficulty level is rated medium, the minimum recommended user height is 140 cm and the maximum user weight is 150 kg, which places it as a station for adults and older adolescents rather than for general all age use.
Materials follow the Steel4Fit specification for very high traffic sites. Curved elements are seamless S355 steel and straight components S235, welded to a high standard, hot dip galvanised and then powder coated twice for corrosion and UV protection. Seats are HDPE. The finish is the range colourway in red and graphite, RAL 3000 and RAL 7016. The unit weighs around 70 kg and is certified to EN 16630:2015 by TUV Rheinland.

Managing user flow on a municipal fitness area
Outdoor fitness areas fail in a predictable way: one or two stations attract everybody, queues form, and the rest of the equipment stands empty. Leg press is almost always one of the stations that attracts the crowd, which is the argument for the double version. It absorbs twice the traffic within a safety zone of roughly 4.9 by 3.5 m rather than requiring two separate zones. Plan that clear area around the unit before anything else, keep it free of paths, benches and neighbouring equipment, and anchor the frame into a prepared concrete foundation. Surfacing within the safety zone has to meet the requirements of EN 16630 for the equipment installed. We prepare a free implantation study covering safety zones, base design, surfacing and the whole equipment mix from your site plan.
Frequently asked questions
Can two people really use it at once?
Yes. The unit carries two independent leg press stations on one frame, which is the reason it is specified for high footfall municipal sites.
Who is the equipment suitable for?
Users of at least 140 cm in height and up to 150 kg. The difficulty is rated medium, so it suits adults and older adolescents rather than young children.
What certification does it hold?
Compliance with EN 16630:2015 for permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment, tested and certified by TUV Rheinland, which is normally required in public procurement.
