Description
The TRAINER Monkey Bridge with Handles is a street workout traverse module 2,160 mm long and 2,020 mm high, weighing 130 kg. The added handles change the grip angle along the crossing. It is certified to EN 16630:2015-06 by TUV Rheinland and priced at 2,058 EUR excluding VAT.
Why the handles matter
A plain monkey bar trains one grip in one plane. Adding handles at different angles along the structure means the user has to change grip mid-traverse – which loads the forearms and the shoulder girdle through a much wider range and turns the crossing into a grip-endurance task rather than a simple traverse.
Used as a whole, the module strengthens the arms, legs, waist, abdominals, back and chest, and improves limb mobility and cardio-respiratory endurance. Difficulty is rated medium.

Where it is installed
Urban parks, street workout and calisthenics areas and city stadiums, normally combined with other TRAINER modules. EN 16630:2015-06 is the European standard for freely accessible outdoor sports equipment and is the reference specified in public tenders. The 500 x 616 cm safety area must be kept clear and surfaced according to the free height of fall – which for a 2,020 mm traverse is the governing figure.

Frequently asked questions
What surfacing is needed under a traverse module?
An impact-attenuating surface across the whole safety area, specified for the free height of fall. On hanging modules that is the height of the bar, not the height of the frame, so it usually drives the surfacing choice for the entire area.
Can it be installed on its own?
It can, but it is designed as part of a configuration. Combined with bars, wall bars and dip stations it becomes the transition element of a full circuit.
How is it fixed?
Ground anchoring into concrete foundations, with drawings supplied at order so groundworks are complete before delivery.
Light In Fitness designs and installs street workout and calisthenics parks for local authorities, schools and property developers. Send us your site plan and we will quote the configuration, the surfacing and the installation together.
