TRAINER E42 - Outdoor Upper Twister and Arm Trainer Combination

The TRAINER E42 pairs an upper-body twister with an arm trainer on one accessible installation, so two people exercise at the same time on adjacent stations. The twister measures 85.7 x 47 x 202 cm and the arm trainer 94 x 48 x 192 cm. Certified to EN 16630:2015-06 by TUV Rheinland, it is supplied by Light In Fitness at 1,690.80 EUR excluding VAT.

Two complementary movements on one order line

The upper twister works trunk rotation: the hands hold the wheel and the shoulders rotate against a fixed lower body, mobilising the thoracic spine and engaging the obliques. The arm trainer drives a continuous cycling motion with the arms, which loads the shoulders, arms and back while raising heart rate. Rotation plus repeated dynamic movement covers both the mobility and the cardiorespiratory side of an upper-body session, which is why the two are grouped rather than sold separately.

Access and geometry

Both stations are set at a low working height with ergonomic grips, so the movement is performed seated and the hand position falls naturally in front of the chest. That geometry is what makes the pair usable by people with reduced mobility as well as by children and by standing adults who simply lean in. The manufacturer specifies a recommended user height of under 140 cm for this configuration.

Construction

High-grade steel, shot-blasted and hot-dip galvanised, then finished with a double layer of polyester powder coating. Grips are ergonomically profiled so the surface stays comfortable to hold in cold and in full sun. Corrosion protection is by galvanising throughout the TRAINER range.

Frequently asked questions

How much ground area does the pair need?

The two safety zones overlap where the stations are installed side by side, so the combined area is smaller than the sum of the two figures. On a typical layout allow around 20 m2 for the pair; we confirm the exact overlap on the installation drawing.

Does the arm trainer have adjustable resistance?

No. Like all EN 16630 open-access equipment it works on body mass and movement rate rather than on a settable load. Users increase intensity by increasing cadence and duration, which is what makes the station safe to leave unsupervised.

Can it be installed on grass?

The frames are anchored into concrete foundations, and the safety zone must have a firm continuous surface if wheelchair users are to reach the stations. Grass around the perimeter is fine; the working area itself should be bound gravel, rubber or concrete.
