Description
The TRAINER stepper is an outdoor cardio station reproducing an alternating step climbing movement, supplied with its mounting pylon for permanent installation. It strengthens the legs and the glutes while working the hips, the thighs and the abdominal girdle, and it raises cardio respiratory capacity because the movement is continuous rather than segmented into repetitions.
The structure is high quality steel, shot blasted and galvanised, protected by a double coat of weather resistant polyester paint. Seat and contact elements are high density polyethylene panels. The unit weighs 100 kg and the mounting pylon adds 50 kg.
Overall dimensions are 1445 x 750 x 1600 mm, the recommended safety zone is 355 x 365 cm, maximum user weight is 150 kg and the difficulty level is easy. The station is certified to EN 16630:2015-06 for permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment, tested and certified by TUV Rheinland. It belongs to the TRAINER range used to build municipal fitness circuits that include accessible stations.

Cardio stations in a municipal fitness area
A stepper is one of the few outdoor stations that produce a measurable rise in heart rate without any instruction, which is why municipalities install them at the entrance of a circuit. Nothing is adjusted, nothing is selected, and a first time user understands the movement immediately.
Allow the full 355 x 365 cm safety zone around the station and keep the approach free of kerbs, so that the circuit remains usable by the widest possible public. On mixed circuits the stepper is normally grouped with a cross trainer or a walker, and paired separately with the seated accessible stations of the same range.
Frequently asked questions
Is the resistance adjustable?
No. The movement is resisted by the user body weight, so the station needs no setting and no maintenance between users.
What foundations are required?
The station is supplied with its mounting pylon for permanent anchoring. Foundation details are issued with the implantation drawing for your site.
Which standard applies?
EN 16630:2015-06, the European standard for permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment, with certification by TUV Rheinland.
